3 - NY Street Trend: Sheers

Sheer everything, from blouses to skirts, are a major trend that I've been noticing all over, from the street to the runway. It seems that New Yorkers and everyone alike can't get enough of the trend. The sheer blouse is so appealing because of its endless versatility. The tops are seen worn to every extreme, from layered to bare. I like that the trend gives the wearer room to be creative and put a unique spin on the universal trend.

2 - Key Item for Spring 2012: The Pastel Sundress

A major trend I've been noticing for Spring 2012 is the pastel sundress. Pastels in every color from green, to pink, to yellow have been very popular for many spring looks, and my favorite pastel pieces are sundresses and skirts. I've noticed them everywhere, from store windows to the runways, which says they are key items for Spring 2012. Here are just a few examples from the runways.

1 - My Favorite Fashion Blogs

One of my favorite fashion blogs is Jak & Jil. The blog features the street fashion photography of Tommy Ton, who is one of my favorite fashion photographers. I just love the way he perfectly captures every shoe, stitch and detail. The blog is purely photos and it is kind of nice that he just lets the images speak for themselves.

Another one of my favorites is The Sartorialist. The Sartorialist features street fashion from around the world, as well as vintage fashion photos and style profiles with different people from the street. The Sartorialist is a great place to refer to for inspiration.
