Recently in LA, Alexander Wang's collection was featured in a trunk show at the boutique Satine. The trunk show was held in the designer's honor by Sonic Youth's Kim Gordon and Erin Wasson. A trunk show is a chance to showcase a designer's collection to a select audience, and is usually very profitable for the designer because it results in immediate sales with little cost to the designer, unlike a runway show.
