I loved Stella McCartney's Fall 2012 collection which was shown recently in Paris was full of easy to wear, yet polished pieces that would look great on any woman. One of the main colors that was prominent throughout the whole collection is a vivid cobalt blue which was a connecting thread. McCartney also played with silhouette, straying away from figure hugging garments and focusing on a new, bolder, shape with strong hips and shoulders. There was a sporty underlying tone to everything that she sent down the runway. For the most part, I liked the presentation of the clothing. The show was held in the glitzy and classic Paris Town Hall, and set to a heavy, poppy soundtrack, which at times I found slightly distracting. Overall however, I think the collection is a very successful and wearable, while still being fashion forward.
